A Vision for Our Future

The story of the Round Top Family Library has always been one of dreaming big dreams. From its humble beginning in early 1999 to today, the motto has been"Why Dream Ordinary?"

The legacy of Sterling and Marianne McCall, Chris and Cheryl Travis, Faith Bybee, Frank and Jean Raymond, the Grace Family and many others, lives on in our unique and beautiful five acre campus.

Round Top Family Library continues to grow as a community center for the residents of Fayette County and adjacent areas of Austin, Lee and Washington counties. The wide variety of programs for children, families and seniors continues to grow as well, with more than 7000 children and adults attending our programs last year. With this growth, Round Top Family Library facilities have reached maximum capacity. In response, the library's leadership is embarking on an expansion to meet our patrons' growing needs, which includes the following:

• Approximately 3600 sq. ft. of additional space for library operations, presentations, classrooms, offices and storage areas

• Meeting space to accommodate groups of 75-125 people for the library's current and growing list of programs that serve the community at large

• Expanded space for children, youth and teen library (almost doubling our existing space)

• Additional shelf space for our library collections

• New Bathrooms that will be accessible for our disabled patrons

• Additional spaces available free of charge for other non-profits to use

• Groundwork to improve drainage and to protect our beautiful, historic buildings from water damage
