Kids S.E.E. Summer Camps

Kids Summer Education and Enrichment activities are FREE and a great opportunity to have fun, make new friends and bridge the summer learning gap. STEM, Cooking, Arts, Gardening, Theater, Taekwondo, and Chess! Tons of fun and learning! Contact the Library for information about activities, at 979-249-2700 or email info@ilovetoread.org.

ONLINE REGISTRATION REQUIRED BEGINNING March 17th.
Kids S.E.E. summer camps begin June 9th through July 24th.
Two summer sessions: first session in June and second session in July. Students can attend both sessions. June and July: ONE WEEK CAMPS (Monday - Friday) *no classes July 1st - 4th*
Classes listed for K-3rd and 4th-6th. Students MUST have COMPLETED 2024-25 school year. Children needing special attention must be accompanied by PARENT/GUARDIAN.

Food Art Club: K - 2nd grade (must have completed K)
Where kids can transform everyday ingredients into fun, edible masterpieces! Through creative food decorating and crafting, young chefs will learn how to design silly, fun snack ideas that taste great.

Dates: June 9th - 13th, Time: 10:00am - 12:30pm

RTFL Diner: 3rd- 6th grade
Students will learn to cook breakfast items and gain hands-on experience working in a diner. On the last day of class, students will play various roles, greeting guests, setting tables, taking orders, serving food, and handling payments with play money. This fun, interactive experience brings the concept of restaurant dramatic play to life for both students and parents/guests. Instructor Kelli Ratka

A little hands on gardening, some experimenting, and other fun projects! Instructor Courtney Kieke

Dates: July 7th - 11th, Time: 10:00am - 12:30pm (K - 3rd)

Art and Crafts: K - 6th grade (must have completed K)
Unleash your creativity through exciting art projects and hands-on crafts in a fun environment! Instructor Landry Holt

Dates: June 16th - 20th, Time: 1:00 - 3:30pm (4th - 6th grade)

Little Explorers: 4 - 5 year olds
Attention all 4 & 5-year old’s starting Kindergarten in August of 2025 or 2026! Each day will be different with books, music, dance and art! Instructor Ashlee Lyons

Fairy Tale STEM: Pre-k (4 years) - 1st grade
Activities bursting with imagination for your little learners to plan, engineer, and design! Each day we will read and complete a STEM related challenge based on classic fairy tales. Instructor Kelli Ratka.
Dates: June 23rd - 27th, Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm

STEM: 2nd - 12th grade
A fun week filled with a variety of STEM topics including robotics with Lego Spike kits, hands-on science experiments, computer programming, and more. Instructor Peter Kieke.
Dates: June 23rd - 27th, Time: 1:00 - 3:30pm (2nd - 3rd grade)
Dates: July 14th - 18th, Time: 1:30 - 3:30pm (4th - 12th grade)

Investigating Science: 4th - 6th grade
Fascinating experimentation, intriguing exploration and a whole lot of fun. Instructor Kinsley Bage

Theater Club: ages 9 and up
Join us for an awesome summer theater program with instructor Melissa Weltner . Students will perform a one act play at the Rifle Hall on Thursday July 24th.
Dates: (weekdays) July 14th - 24th, Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm.

Chess Club: ages 7 and up
Beginner or experienced players, sharpen your mind while learning strategy and critical thinking! This game encourages problem-solving and teamwork in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Retired Scholastic Chess Instructor David McCall. Thursdays

TaeKwon-Do Training: 2nd - 12th grade
