18th Annual Round Top Family Library CHILI COOK-OFF

EVERYTHING THE TEAM CAPTAIN NEEDS TO KNOW AND PASS ON TO TEAM MEMBERS

READ THIS!!!

Chili Cook-Off is 12:00 noon January 21, 2023 at The Stone Cellar in Round Top, TX.
You may begin setting up Saturday morning. Judges will pick up one quart of chili for judging at noon. We supply the jar. It is not necessary to cook on site, but you must be set up by 11:00AM. Please prepare at least 4 to 5 gallons of chili. No peanut products please!

This year in lieu of auction items, we are asking for a $100 donation to the library as your entry fee. Entry fee due by January 8, 2023. Cash, check and credit card accepted.

Your booth or tent should be no bigger than 10’ x 10’. No electricity is available so please use propane stoves. Make a sign showing Team Name, be creative with your booth, and have fun.

Round Top Family Library will supply bowls and spoons for tasting.

• First, second, and third place as determined by a team of 16 judges.
• First place between the Seniors and Juniors at RT-C High School.
• First place chili as voted by the crowd.
• Best Showmanship as voted by judges (new this year).
• Golden Spoon award for team that raises most money for library.
